R. Ravichandran was appointed as CEO of DFL in January 2007, post acquisition of majority stake by D B Zwirn & Co. He was appointed as Managing Director in October 2007.

He has over 17 years of work experience in NBFC's. Prior to this he was holding senior positions in Cholamandalam DBS Finance Ltd and Esanda Finance (Subsidiary of Grindlays Bank). He has rich experience in asset backed lending business across the country and has been instrumental in setting up of asset finance businesses from the scratch and growing it in his previous assignment.

Ravi received his Bachelor Degree in Management from Madurai Kamaraj University and is also a Cost Accountant.
